How to Set Up Bidirectional Synchronization of Contacts and Calendar

Hello,

I would like to ask for information and advice on how to effectively set up bidirectional synchronization of the following data using Nextcloud AIO:

  1. Contacts:

    • Synchronizing contacts between an Android phone and Nextcloud (bidirectional).

  2. Calendar:

    • Synchronizing the calendar between an Android phone and Nextcloud (bidirectional).

My goal is to gradually move away from reliance on Google services, but I have yet to find a suitable alternative that fully replaces their functionality. I consider Nextcloud a promising solution, and I would like to receive specific advice on the following:

  • Synchronization setup: How to set up contacts and calendar synchronization on an Android device with Nextcloud AIO (which software or apps to use, CardDAV and CalDAV configuration).
  • Data backup: How to back up data (contacts and calendar), ideally via an export/import function, to ensure recovery in case of system failure or device loss.

If there is a complete video tutorial on setting up and using synchronization or backup, I would greatly appreciate it.
