Summary of the issue you are facing:

I tried to download the OneDrive migration tool from here: OneDrive integration - Apps - App Store - Nextcloud, picking the top version - 3.3.1. However, what downloaded was a zip folder rather than an app I could install. Which of these files should I run to install it as an app? Or am I misunderstanding what this all is?

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

  1. Download from OneDrive integration - Apps - App Store - Nextcloud
  2. Click Nextcloud version 31, 3.3.1
  3. Unzip download

The output of occ config:list system or similar is best, but, if not possible, the contents of your config.php file from /path/to/nextcloud is fine (make sure to remove any identifiable information!):

Tips for increasing the likelihood of a response

  • Use the preformatted text formatting option in the editor for all log entries and configuration output.
  • If screenshots are useful, feel free to include them.
    • If possible, also include key error output in text form so it can be searched for.
  • Try to edit log output only minimally (if at all) so that it can be ran through analyzers / formatters by those trying to help you.

You should know the currently used Nextcloud-server version. Your link leads to OneDrive integration for Nextcloud 31. But it will need to be installed on the Nextcloud Server 31

The correct method is to login via browser on your Nextcloud server, click on your personal icon in the upper right corner, select “Apps”, search under “Integration” for OneDrive Integration and install it.

In your posted link OneDrive integration you can read “Microsoft OneDrive integration allows you to automatically import your OneDrive files into Nextcloud.”

In the included screenshot you can see the function. The data from OneDrive is importetd to Nextcloud. There is no need or function for Mac-, Windows- or Linux- clients. Your Mac client is using the normale Nextcloud fat client or web interface to Nextcloud. Only the Nextcloud gets the data from OneDrive.
