I wrote a quick step by step guide on How to install full text search with elasticsearch on Nextcloud 13. It works on my debian 9 installation but it can be used as a reference for other systems. Hope you like it.

Hey do you know if the addons take care of regular scanning? Do I have to make a cron job for running indexing regularly?
yeah nextcloud 13 must crontab a job nextcloud 14 can live update
The addon will re-index outdated documents.
This is automatically managed with the default cron system of Nextcloud.
Is somebody able to make it working? It takes forever to run the index and at the end runs into an error without finishing. Plus elastic search node is status yellow.
