How to have a shared folder to a user without having a subdirectory in the home of another user

How to have a shared folder to a user without having a subdirectory in the home of a user?
Is there an option to have shared files for a user without a subfolder?

Have a Shared folder eg qb64 from another account.
When the separate account syncs there are files in c:\qb64\qb64.
Need files in c:\qb64 the root folder of the user account.

Is there anyway to have the files show up in the home folder only?
I can’t have a account to use a folder inside another sync account.

No, that’s not possible. The only thing which you can do is, to configure a general share folder for all users under which individual shared files and folders are stored. Check out the following configuration parameter:

'share_folder' => '/Shared_files',

Ok thanks for the reply.

I don’t use my NC it that way.
I have one account used on many computers to sync files, a mix of Linux and Windows.

You sometimes have a lot file generated conflicts come up as a result of this way but it’s getting less as NC updates…
You need to check each conflicting file and delete the incorrect one. Not just deleting the conflicting files by name (I used to do that).

For the sake of completeness (for those who end up here using the search function): this can also be done per user in /settings/user/sharing.

I am not very good at english.
I use one user account. Shared to other clients.
