How to get email to work in the all in one nextcloud. Keeps failing do to self signed certs

I have my mail server setup and all my emails works but when i try to get Nextcloud to send emails useing my mail server it keeps failing. I know my certificates are working as my sites work but it ssays in the logs not trusted so it wont allow nextcloud to use it. I also can not figure out how to access the config file since its the all in one version in docker. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I even have the the intermeditite cert setup but for some reason its still not trusted. I just need to get it to send emails that be great
