The Basics

  • Nextcloud Server version (e.g., 29.x.x):

  • Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 24.04):
    • Redhat 9
  • Web server and version (e.g, Apache 2.4.25):
    • Apache (HTTPD 2.4.62)
  • PHP version (e.g, 8.3):
    • 8.2.27
  • Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Yes / No):
    • Yes
  • When did this problem seem to first start?
    • That’s the first time that I’m trying to implement it
  • Are you using CloudfIare, mod_security, or similar? (Yes / No)
    • No

Summary of the issue you are facing:

The problem is that the app “user_cas” is no longer working in 30 version.
Is there a workaround ? We want our users to be redirect to our CAS rather than the NextCloud login page.

Here last version was NC 24:

And in the linked repo, there is no recent activity. With that, it would probably take some effort to make it compatible with current versions of Nextcloud.

What about USER_SAML ?

SAML and OpenID backends are working. CAS has not been updated for quite a while
