How can I change the expiration date

How can I change the expiration date?
I don’t want the Expiration date forced!!!

Hi Wolfgang

I assume you mean the expiration date for shares. The date, respectively the period of time for which a share remains active, can be set by an administrator. Administrators can also enforce the expiration date, so that users cannot overwrite it. See here: File Sharing — Nextcloud latest Administration Manual latest documentation

Is a restart neccessary?

No. You can not really restart Nextcloud because it is a webserver/php-software. For every request the software must read the used informations e.g. config.php or parts of the database. But for performance there is a Memory caching.
