I am testing the new Photos 2.0 app with Recognize in Nextcloud 25.
I see the tab “People” in the Photos app, and it is empty.
In the first step, I would like to manually tag people in some of my photos. How would I do that?
Also, if I tag people in my photos, will that train Recognize to recognize these people in other photos?

This would be great!
Unfortunately, it seems like this does not exist for the time being. Hopefully, it will be added in the future.
Right now, my automated face recognition in the Recognize app seems to be at a standstill. There are files in the queue but they are not added to the people tab in Photos.
I have tried to tag photos in the File browser but those do not find their way to the People tab in Photos either.

is there any news on this issue?
Manually tagging people is not yet implemented. If you are having issues with face recognition in recognize, you might want to open a bug report.
I think that this might be the bug-report / feature-request you’re searching for:

### Describe the feature you'd like to request
When a face isn't detected in a … photo (main example I've seen is when 2 people have faces close together) it would be good to be able to create a manual tag to include the picture.
### Describe the solution you'd like
Ideal solution would be to frame out someones face, like in digikam, but I think creating a manual tag in a photo sidebar might be more feasible?
### Describe alternatives you've considered
Looked to see if I could manually tag, but either I missed it or can't do it
