I decided to move my local NC to a managed hosting provider as my ISP makes it harder and harder to self-host (IPv4 changes all the time, less and less uptime, theyâve quit public peering alltogether now etc.)
I tried Ionos (germany) and it works great - except it seems that they donât have the âMemoriesâ App (along with a bunch of others) in the App store to be installed.
I get it - some of the apps are a little heavierâŚbut does anyone know a provider that lets you install the âMemoriesâ app? Or will i have to go the VPS route?
I offer NC hosting in Switzerland for my customers on shared servers and they have no restriction on apps they can use For memories usually we do the first indexation in command line to get the process more smoothly
You can look at https://www.tcrserver.de/ . You can start with a free account. There you can use the app Memories. Currently you get Nextcloud 31.0.10.2.
Hello, at JABA.Hosting, we are excited to offer a unique âmemoriesâ feature for our Nextcloud products. You can explore and order this feature directly on our website.
Visit JABA.Hosting to learn more about our offerings, including Nextcloud solutions, and experience how our reliable cloud services can help you manage and cherish your most important moments.
Our products are designed to provide seamless integration, robust security, and excellent performance â all hosted on high-performance servers in Germany.
With managed service their are many restrictions to NC apps that require FFmpeg, Redis tuning, and background jobs, which depend on memory. Choose the managed server with full access, which will allow you to install them, or you can ask support to help you for that.
