Hello,
my mac is a macbok pro Sonoma 14.5 Apple M2 Pro if it is relevant.
standard desktop client version : 3.13.2
I recently saw that the VFS desktop client for mac is available.
i downloaded the installer, after the installation i opened the app but nothing changed, i don’t see anything related to virtual files or freeing up space.
i tried to do a clean installation, as i thought maybe installing vfs on top of the standard client caused an issue. so i uninstalled it ( quit and moved the app to Trash", and installed the vfs client… it wouldn’t launch.
is there soemthing i am missing ?
In the context menu of each file/folder you should have an option to make the file available offline and also to free up space.
Unfortunately, I have no macOS system at hand to check this.
In previous version, there was an option to be enabled for the beta features, but I didn’t find that for current versions. So I suppose it is enabled by default.
It might be worth checking the bug tracker: https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/issues
If there are major issues, there should be already some report, especially if a feature is relatively new on a system.
