Groupware account provisioing uses internal username instead of LDAP username

Nextcloud version: 25.0.3
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Debian 11 (Dockerized)
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): Apache
PHP version (eg, 7.4): Shipped with docker

The issue you are facing:
I tried out the account provisioning of the mail app included in nextcloud today. After setting up the config I noticed an unwanted behaviour:
The nextcloud app is not using the configured ldap username but instead its cryptic internal username. Is there any way to change this behaviour?

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): Y

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Install the Mail app
  2. Configure LDAP and don’t overwrite the username mapping
  3. Configure the account provisioning
  4. Use %USERID% in it
  5. Won’t work

Is there any way to migiate this behaviour? I’d really like to use this feature.

I agree. I have tried everything and there is not much on the internet about this. In the old versions you could choose the mappings.
