After installation of nexcloud office and Collabora CODE built-in server I get the following error shown in Administration → Nextcloud Office:

Nextcloud is installed at /html/nc and subdomain nc.mydomain.com defined and working well

(mydomain.com is synonym for real domain).

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

  1. Install nextcloud

  2. Install nextcloud office app

  3. Install collabora code built-in app

  4. open Administration->Nextcloud office

Are you sure about the environment Nextcloud is running in? You posted a much newer kernel version than I’d expect with the library version you posted. I know nothing of your hosting provider, but a quick glance shows they have a Nextcloud deployment model with containers (btw: they have instructions for deploying Office/CODE in a more production-worthy way with Nextcloud as its own container rather than trying to use the slower and more error prone sidecar app).

The output tells me, the file does not exist:

-bash: /home/*myDomain.com/*html/nc/apps/richdocumentscode/collabora/Collabora_Online.AppImage: cannot execute: required file not found

Which file? glibc? Where exactly does it look for?
Or the Collabora_Online.AppImage? The latter one is in that folder, as expected.

How can I go further to investigate the socket proxy error? (the first part of the error message). I guess this makes the glibc unreacheable, maybe?

To your other question, why not a containerized version?

Well, Mittwald would provide that, but on a more expensive tarif. But we are a small NPO, we have to save money… Anyhow, it is a real small community, thus performance wouldn’t be an issue.
