Forms - Email Not Working (anymore?)

Nextcloud Hub 25 Autumn (32.0.5)
Forms 5.2.4
Notifications 5.0.0 - dev0

Dear Forum,

I recently started working with form creation and find it very useful. Unfortunately, I don’t receive an email when someone submits a form — or no email is sent at all.

The settings under “Notifications” are correct, and I do receive push notifications in my iOS Nextcloud app when a form is submitted. I just don’t receive an email. If I disable push notifications and only email is enabled, I still don’t receive an email.

Nextcloud’s email sending function is generally working; I receive test emails and system warning emails without any problems. An email address is also configured in the account. Emails are sent via login to the SMTP server. After submitting a form, I don’t see any login activity or transmission to the SMTP server.

The log contains no message that I would expect to be related to the form submission.

Does anyone have any ideas?
Does this work for anyone using the versions mentioned above?
Does this work for anyone using older versions?

Note: User authentication is handled via the LDAP plugin, and the forms are accessed via a shareable link by non-Nextcloud users.

Regards,
Yummiweb

Question has been posted to Github, too.

@Chartman123 Feel free to close one as we want to avoid crosspostings.

In my case, the cause was dysfunctional cron jobs. Due to similar administrative procedures, this problem existed on several machines and went unnoticed for a while.

Since the cron issues were resolved, notifications are being sent again—including all notifications that were still “in the pipeline.”
