First time login with OpenLDAP not completely working

Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Ubuntu 20.04

The issue you are facing:
When new users log in for the first time to Nextcloud (fresh LDAP account just set up in iRedMail/OpenLDAP), it spins for a while in the Login screen then just comes back to a blank login screen. Log in again and it goes right to the dashboard.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N):
Been happening for a little bit. Cannot recall any specific changes other than upgrades.

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Create new user in OpenLDAP
  2. Login first time as new user
  3. Login screen has spinning circle and returns empty login screen.
  4. Login one more time as new user and it goes right to the dashboard.
