Files aren't encrypted even though "End-to-end encryption has been enabled for this account"

If I have e2ee enabled, as I do see in the desktop client that “End-to-end encryption has been enabled for this account” … then should I still be able to view the file via the web interface? I was expecting that it would either say encrypted or it would be jumbled up. How can I confirm that files are being encrypted?

I do have an option when I right click on a folder within my synced directory to “encrypt” so I try that with a folder I made, but the files are still accessible on the web interface.

Here’s my web settings:

Here’s my client app on my laptop:

I can confirm that the files are sitting on the server unencrypted. I’m not sure what else I need to do as it says on the client app that e2ee is enabled. I noticed that there is a Right click menu option for folders: Nextcloud > Encrypt but it doesn’t seem to do anything.

Any help?

same here. Same configuration and files are clear on the server.
How did you solve this issue?
Thank you very much
