🔍 File or folder search by name is not working on Apple iOS Next Cloud Application

Hello Community,

I’m experiencing an issue with the Nextcloud app on my iPhone where searching for files or folders by name returns “No result”, even though the items exist.

Please note that the search functionality works correctly on both Android and the web interface—the issue seems to be specific to iOS.

My setup:

  1. Backend File Server: Nextcloud 29.0.16
  2. iOS Version: 18.4.1

Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a workaround?

Hi! Thank you for bringing this up. Can you please report it over on our GitHub repository where the development team manages issues like this? This community forum is not monitored and used for issue tracking in context of the iOS app. It would be great if you could also provide more specific steps to reproduce, logs and screenshots or a even a recording. Thank you!
