Is there any work being done on supporting attachments in the federated chats? If so, is there some ETA? I think it’s currently one of the main missing features holding federation back

It is put in backlog. Normally, once they start working on it, you see some linked activity, and they attach a specific milestone (specific version when this will be available). NC 32 was just released and the feature was not integrated.
For NC33, they have not specified the release dates yet, but either end of the year or early next year. Since this feature requires work on frontend and backend, if it will be part of NC 33, you should see some activity over the next weeks.
On the long-term planning, we don’t have any insights. For enterprise customers, there are probably better ways to push development a bit. You can give this feature on github a thumbs up, to show your interest.
