After completing an initial install and rollout, I discovered today that when a user deletes a file from external storage, it is copied down to local storage. Who owns this brilliant design flaw? I was able to find there is a future enhancement to address the flaw (but this is not a true resolution as it simply provides for delete without ability to move to a trash bin): https://github.com/nextcloud/server/pull/23489
This is ridiculous. The external storage feature should have (from the very beginning) provided support for a trash bin on the external storage.
