External SMB Share without authentication

Hello everyone,

I am using NC version 30.0.0.2 and would like to integrate an external SMB share. The external share is from an Open Media Vault NAS and has no authentication.
Unfortunately, I cannot find an option to integrate the share into NC without user/password. According to the documentation there should be a “None authentication” option, but unfortunately I don’t know where.

Perhaps one of you can give me a tip.

To my knowledge there is not a “None” option for SMB authentication in Nextcloud. The null authentication code is only for Local External Storage.

You can add a username/password on OMV to the share from the looks of their docs (they’re just using Samba underneath). Including - it looks like - simultaneously guest + authenticated access (if you need to retain the guess access for some reason).
