Event changes result in fresh and confusing attendee invitations

I am operating Nextcloud 19.x at my job, and I’m operating 20.x on my personal system. Something that is causing me to explore moving away from Nextcloud is how the Calendar invitations work (or don’t work).

Is there a way to overcome:

When modifying an event with attendees, the attendees receive a new invitation to the event, but with the new date/time instead of an indication that it is a rescheduled event.

It also seems that if you create a recurring event with attendees, if you go in and cancel one instance of the recurring event, the attendees receive a new invitation to the event, but with the date of the original instance. This leads to absolutely crazy confusion amongst the people that I support.

Any idea what I am missing here?
