Email Quota inside account with unlimited storage

Hi ! I just installed nextcloud in my shared hosting and here I added email. I’ve set quota unlimited for my account but when I check the email, there it says I have XX mb / 50GB. I don’t understand is that means and where it comes from ?

I am thinking about changing the workflow for the company I work in from roundcube to nextcloud but first I wanna make sure I don’t disturb in any way the workflow in the next months/years.

Where I find this settings : On the topbar, I click mail, then on the email adress in the right side there are 3 dots : click that 3 dots and there it is.

Best regards !

Hello @etis and welcome to the wonderful world of Nextcloud and it’s community forum.

As you don’t really give any worthy information it’s hard to tell you where that comes from. All I can tell is: afaik there’s no nextcloud induced limit if you’d install it manually. that might be different with other ways of installing (I don’t really know for sure).

So the first place I would look is on your shared hosters-side if there is an automatic limit given by the underlaying server and/or setup.

The size of the email account depends on the mail-server-settings and has nothing to do with the Nextcloud quota.
