Hi,

as a newbie I want to choose my first hosting provider in Europe, preferable in Germany.
I noticed that not every provider offers end to end encryption. Is there a reason for that or anything specific to look for in that regard?

As a provider, you don’t want an app that requires a lot of support (whether it’s the app or the user). But there are providers where you can install your own apps, then that’s no problem.
