Does external storage store the data locally on NC?

I have a client who uses dropbox today…

besides from the features dropbox provides is there way to backup the data to a NC server instead? I was thinking connectin NC to the dropbox account using external storage feature. But it says it creates a mount point. So im unsure if data would actually BE on my NC or i would just link to the data on dropbox?

if it was stored locally i could just backup my NC using my standard software, that would be nice :slight_smile:

It uses the respective APIs to display the files and allow interaction with them remotely. However if you move them from the dropbox folder to another on NC they will be locally available.
