Documents showing up empty on synchronized desktop computer

I have started having issues with new documents showing up empty on the synchronized folder on my desktop, and even my laptop.

What would cause a word processor/spreadsheet document to synchronize an empty file?

Online, it looks fine.

I tried 4 test files all the same. I put them in different folder sin NC. Same issue.

I rebooted the server in case there was a glitch on the server end. I also closed turned off the desktop software and started it up again.


Added information, and issues:
I was working on 2 different documents online, and the system had an error which forced me back to the files app display. When I opened up the document, it was blank.
