Docker Images - Backup/Migration to new server

Hi everyone,

After installing NC years ago just as a test, I now see that the preferred options seems to be the Docker image with AIO.

I have just inastalled Docker to try it out as have no experience with it at all.

My main consideration is ability to take NC to a new server and in paticular a local Proxmox server. But to start with I will be setting it up using Linode.

The Backup instructions: do not explain how to backup/restore or create an image of a docker container.

  • Does anyone have experience on migrating NC to a different server?
  • If so, what is the easiest way with most success. I don’t want to be stuck with the same host forever.
  • Would you use Portainer to manage the Docker images?
