Disable notifications of calendar reminders

When you set up reminders in calendar entries, Nextcloud automatically sends notifications in the browser, the android app and the desktop app. My problem is that I sync my calendars via caldav and get multiple notifications through the nextcloud apps and my native calendar applications.

Is there a way to get rid of the calendar notifications in Nextcloud?

To answer myself:
Hidden under the settings tab ‘groupware’, one can disable push-notifications.

Additional note: this is a global administration setting and it cannot be changed by individual users as far as I understand.
