Desktop client only for recent system?

I very surprised that the Desktop client on Nextcloud works only for recent system 10.9+.
Should I come back to ownCloud to use all my computers ?

Oh sorry grouchysysadmin, I was talking MacOS language. So I ment Mac OS 10.9+ that seems to be the only one. For ownCloud there is a respect for Mac OS 10.7+. This is much better for a good cloud system…!
