Desktop-Client on MacOS does not update automatically (greyed out)

I’m on MacOS Ventura 13.5.1 (22G90). The Desktop-Client was on 3.9.2something but this bothers for a long time:

The Desktop-Client shows new updates and updates perfectly. But why is the “Automatically download and install updates in the future” greyed out and can’t be activated?

Is this a rights issue and how can I solve this?

Same question, did you end up getting this working?

I assume its because my password is required to install the app so it can’t really do it ‘automatically’ at the moment. We should be able to fix the permissions so that it is possible.

Nope, still the same today… Can’t be that hard to let people wait six months.

I can confirm that this is still present as of today. The option is greyed out.

what is the setting in the app itself?

The error occurred a while ago. I can now report that it no longer occurs in newer versions, and the update works automatically. It’s possible that it was fixed or the settings were different during a subsequent reinstallation.

I’ve just had a notification about update to 3.16.1 and the option wasn’t greyed out anymore.
