Desktop Client 33.0.3 on Win11 problems saving .xlsx and randomly not syncing files, solved by downgrading to 33.0.2

  • Nextcloud Server version (e.g., 29.x.x):
    • 33.0.2
  • Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 24.04):
    • Windows 11
  • Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Yes / No):
    • YES
  • When did this problem seem to first start?

Summary of the issue you are facing:

First issue:
When using .xlsx files, while saving I suddenly always get the error message from Excel that there is some kind of accessing conflict and that the file was saved but could not again be opened. Subsequent attempts to safe will result in a prompt to save as new file.

Second issue:
When copying files from one Nextcloud folder to another (via client), some files randomly are not synced, no attempt seems to be made to sync (no syncing icons on the file symbols). The Nextcloud client itself shows the green arrow and that all files have been synced. Accessing the folder via browser shows these files have not been synced. When restarting the client these files are synced normally.

Both issues seem to have been solved by downgrading the desktop client vom 33.0.3 to 33.0.2.

I have the same problem.

Error during saving (but saving is still successful):

In English:

The document was saved successfully,
but Excel cannot reopen the document due to
an access violation. Please
close the document and try
to open it again.

Seems like https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/issues/9928 ?

Yes, very much the same symptoms. Thank you.

After updating to client 33.0.4 this morning both issues seem to be resolved.
