Desktop client 3.14.1 and gnome-keyring on ubuntu 24.04

hello everyone,

Desktop client 3.14.0 and 3.14.1 does not connect to gnome-keyring.
I have to log in again each time I activate it.
I’m on ubuntu 24.04.

Nextcloud version 3.13.4 works without a problem, and can recreate and access connection credentials in gnome-keyring.

The package managers contains only version 3.11.0.

I’ve searched on forums for a similar problem, without success.

Does anyone have an idea how to make the 3.14.1 client connect automatically?

Same problem with me with Ubuntu 20.04 and now 20.10.

Help

Hi pt_lutin

Were can I find a .deb download for version 3.13.4?
Still I’m searching for the right for 24.04. Or are there new finding?
BR Ulrich

there are no .deb files to download, only appimages.

https://nextcloud.com/install/#install-clients

Ubuntu does provide packages of the Nextcloud desktop client through their Universe repositories, but these packages are usually already somewhat out of date by the time a particular version of Ubuntu is released, and they don’t get updates during the lifetime of a release: Ubuntu – Package Search Results -- nextcloud-desktop

So you might want to use the following (unofficial) PPA: Desktop client : “Nextcloud development” team

Or the (unofficial) snap package: Install Nextcloud Desktop Client on Linux | Snap Store

Setting up the PPA has done it for me.
thx
