I tried to install NextCloud today with the help of Softaculous / DirectAdmin and as a result I got the following message on the landing page (https://growhealthycoop.online/nextcloud/):
Your data directory is invalid Ensure there is a file called “.ocdata” in the root of the data directory. Cannot create “data” directory This can usually be fixed by giving the webserver write access to the root directory. See https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/22/go.php?to=admin-dir_permissions
During installation a (data) folder was created automatically on a higher level than the website root, called ‘nextclouddata’ and it includes a file called [.ocdata]. I think the permissions on the folders and files are correct, respectively 755 and 644.
I would be happy to receive simple tips on what I can do to solve this problem, as I only have basic knowledge of hosting and programming.
