Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 28.0.3
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Ubuntu 22.04
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): nginx 1.18
PHP version (eg, 7.4): php 8.1.2

The issue you are facing:

There is a delay of approximately 30 seconds before a newly created folder or file becomes visible. I’m using the Web UI

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Go to files
  2. Create file or folder
  3. 30sec later the file or folder shows up

Don’t know where to start finding this problem.
I have a Cloudron server with 2 nextcloud installation.
They both have their own volume.
Both volumes have the same settings.

1 Nextcloud install takes 30 seconds before the folder or file is created
the other one only takes like 4 seconds.

They are both configured the same way…

You’re creating the file in the Nextcloud Web UI or somewhere else?

Yes Web UI, sorry. So when I log in via the browser. I tried with Chrome and Firefox and both takes about 30sec.

I Solved the problem by removing duplicate finder plugin:

(I don’t use that app but the API slowness under some circumstances might be related to what you saw).
