somewhere in time before the owncloud team re-wrote the contact app, it was possible to load the contacts (and share them) taking the data from an AD comain controller, using the LDAP protocol.
I waited a lot and I really miss this feature! I hope it will be re-integrated asap. Will you do it??

Thanks for your answer. Are you working with e-mail in nextcloud as well ? I would like to know whether you have access to contacts or user in e-Mail app. I would like to test it, but at present I haven’t not enough time…
