Contacts Loses its Marbles on a New Entry

I recently upgraded NextCloud to 17.0.3, and with it contacts to 3.1.8. When entering a new contact using Vivaldi (68.5.0esr-1~deb10u1, a Chromium derivative browser), I start a new contact, and enter one or two fields. The browser shows the “spinning its wheels”, and I cannot do any more. Entering the same contact on Firefox (68.5.0esr-1~deb10u1) works. This is on Debian 10 for both client and server. Timeout issue???

Correction. I hit the same problem with Firefox.
