Contacts: How to delete "recently contacted"

How can I delete all contacts in “recently contacted” on NC 21.0.2? This recently contacted got populated with 1600 contacts which I don’t want to have in it. Don know how, but they appeared when adding a calendar. There have not been any credentials for the address book. Strange.

How can I delete them? And how can I stop collecting them?

You can disable the “Contacts Interaction” app

How does one disable the contacts interaction app?

Click on your user at top right of page.
Select ‘+ Apps’ from drop down.
Scroll down to ‘Contacts Interaction’
Select Disable.
