"connection failed" / JsonException Malformed UTF-8 characters

Hi Nextcloud-Profis,

I run NC 28.0.4 on a managed ubuntu server at all-inkl.com.

Everything worked fine since years. Since a few days (maybe since updating from 28.0.3 to 28.0.4 an 04.04.2024), some things don’t work anymore.

When I try to open a txt-File (e.g. text.txt) in my browser, I get the error message “connection failed”. When I check administrator logs, I find “JsonException Malformed UTF-8 characters, possibly incorrectly encoded”

Can anyone help?

Thank you in advance.

Greetings from Hannover
Michael

Where is the “connection failed” appearing? In the upper right as a pop-up?

When I check administrator logs, I find “JsonException Malformed UTF-8 characters, possibly incorrectly encoded”

Please share the full log entry (raw entry).

It seems that exactly one file was damaged. My local Nextcloud-Client told me, that it would not be possible, to sync this file. I copied it on my computer and deleted the old version local and on my server. Everything is fine since then. I have no clue, why this happened, but I’m happy, that Nextcloud works again.
