Connecting NextCloud client without a browser?

Can the NextCloud client connect to a server without having to use a browser for authentication? it seems it’s more convenient and a lot quicker if it can be done via CLI.

Is this a one-time connection?

I can see that it’s scrolling by with lots of sync messages, but the client seemed oblivious to this new configuration.

(granted, it’s still in the middle of its first-pass, but I thought the client would at least acknoweldge of the new configuration.)
