Connect with iPad 2

I am using a freshly installed iPad 2 (iOS 9.3.5). This is the latest iOS compatible with this device. This means that, unfortunately, I cannot install the Nextcloud App.
However, I was hoping to be able to connect via the browser. But, in the startup screen I only see the logo, ‘forgot password’ and ‘Log in with a device’, but not the actual fields to put my username and password. Any idea how to solve this?

Thanks!
Steven

Hello @turevp ,

welcome to the community of Nextcloud.

You are using Safari, or?

Please update to latest iOS version v9.3.6 for your device.

Is your NC working with other devices using a browser?

I am indeed using Safari.

I cannot update to v9.3.6. The systems says that v9.3.5 is the latest version

NC is working fine on my Macbook Pro (macOS 10.15.7), both via Safari and the NC App.

According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IOS_version_history#iOS_9 the version v9.3.5 has been released August 25, 2016; 4 years ago.

That is quite old. You can give it a try using firefox or chrome? Not sure if they still support v9 of iOS.

Unfortunately I can’t download firefox or chrome. They indeed don’t support this iOS.

Bad to hear. Run out of ideas.

Installing iOS 9.3.6 might work through iTunes. You probably need to get an old iTunes version for that, but they are readily available. For instance version 12.5.1.21: https://www.filepuma.com/download/itunes_64bit_12.5.1-12723/
