Hi,
I am trying to use ldap (FreeIPA) as a directory service for user authentication in NC. It works, but to have a proper user name, I’ve entered “uid” on the Internal user mapping at the Expert
tab of ldap configuration.
The users that conflict with previous, local users get a number appended, as warned. So francis in ldap becomes francis_7054.
The thing is that I always get “wrong password” when logging in with francis_7054. A directory user without local duplicate logs in normally, but this one doesn’t.
Is it possible at all to log in with an ldap user that conflicts with a local user?
