Hello,

I’m having a problem with Talk. I created a user named “Mathis” and added him to a Talk group chat, but he can’t see the images sent before the user was created. He only sees the message "“User_name"Shared a file that is no longer available.” He can see all the messages he wrote, though, and he can see the images sent afterward.

The problem only occurs if the user is named Mathis. If I create another account, there’s no problem; he sees all the images. I’ve already deleted the Mathis account several times, but it doesn’t change anything.

Thanks in advance, I don’t know what to do anymore

That sounds very weird  is Mathis the userid? which Talk version are you using?
Also you want to update to a version that is not EOL

Indeed, it’s very strange, I create any other user and there’s no problem, but if I create the user “Mathis” then I have the problem.

I can definitely upgrade

32.0.3 now, same problem

“Ronan shared a file that is no longer available.”

Same discussion another user :

The problem only occurs if the user is named Mathis. If I create another account, there’s no problem; he sees all the images. I’ve already deleted the Mathis account several times, but it doesn’t change anything.

Does it happen for all variations like mathis, Mathis1, 1Mathis, fooMathis, and Mathisbar?

Can you post your config (occ config:list system) and app state (occ app:list) for completeness too?

No problem with Mathis1 etc… just Mathis.

If I delete Mathis to redo it, it’s the same: sudo -u www-data php occ user:delete Mathis

I don’t know what else to do…

I tried completely deleting the Mathis account using sudo -u www-data php occ user:delete Mathis.

But I still have the same problem when I recreate it.

Thank you very much for your help.
