Client (3.13.2) can't remember password

I do use nextcloud-desktop (3.13.2-2) from Debian GNU/Linux 13/Trixie repository on XFCE desktop. On every reboot or login it ask me again for the password.

I installed several keyring related packages. But I don’t know how to make owncloud to use that keyring instead of asking me ever and ever again.

These are the “keyring” packages installed:

$ apt list --installed | grep key
debian-archive-keyring/testing,now 2023.4 all [installiert]
gir1.2-keybinder-3.0/testing,now 0.3.2-1.1+b3 arm64 [Installiert,automatisch]
gnome-keyring-pkcs11/testing,now 46.2-1 arm64 [installiert]
gnome-keyring/testing,now 46.2-1 arm64 [installiert]
keyboard-configuration/testing,now 1.233 all [Installiert,automatisch]
libkeybinder-3.0-0/testing,now 0.3.2-1.1+b3 arm64 [Installiert,automatisch]
libkeyutils1/testing,now 1.6.3-4 arm64 [installiert]
libpam-gnome-keyring/testing,now 46.2-1 arm64 [installiert]
libqt5keychain1/testing,now 0.14.3-3 arm64 [Installiert,automatisch]
libqt6keychain1/testing,now 0.14.3-3 arm64 [Installiert,automatisch]
libvolume-key1/testing,now 0.3.12-8 arm64 [Installiert,automatisch]
libxcb-keysyms1/testing,now 0.4.0-1+b3 arm64 [Installiert,automatisch]

Gnome keyring is running:

$ ps -A | grep key
gnome-keyring-d

I modified several settings (Sorry, translated from German into English.) in XFCE also:

  • XFCE / Start behavior / Advanced / Compatibility / “Load services for GNOME/KDE at startup” enabled.
  • XFCE / Start behavior / Autostart applications → Enabled three applications
    • “Security Service (GNOME-keyring: Sicherheitsdienst)”
    • “SSH-SchlĂĽsselagent (GNOME-keyring: SSH-Agent)”
    • “Zertifikat-/SchlĂĽsselverwaltung (GNOME-keyring: PKCS#11-Komponente)”

I also found several other comments about that problem. What else can I do?

Regards,
Christian

PS: I asked a similar question related to ownCloud client.

Did you try Appimage client for Linux? Your client’s version is outdated.
https://github.com/nextcloud-releases/desktop/releases/download/v3.15.0/Nextcloud-3.15.0-x86_64.AppImage

I am sure this is not about the client version.
It is from the official Debian GNU/Linux Trixie (13) repositories. So it is fine.
It is just 2 minor versions or 5 months behind upstream.

And I also have a much older nextCloud client working on another Debian GNU/linux Bookworm (12) working very well without asking for passwords.

So I am assuming this is something about the setup of the client or the system.

Anyway. There is no AppImage for ARM systems available.
