Clarifying status of apps in relation to their repos

Continuing the discussion from Nextcloud Hub and Major Version numbering:

What do you think about exposing repo issues & pull requests within the appstore?

Goal

Making it possible to see the issues most recently active within their app’s appstore listing would be most useful when deciding whether to install, or even update, an app.

Why?

Since you pulled off something similar in tracking app changes of major releases within the forum @tflidd, what about exposing these same app version issues within either the web appstore or even the appstore within personal Nextclouds?

Super curious on what you imagine. Idea inspired by please include release plan and status in release announcements

For apps managed on github, you could probably imagine getting information from there directly. But not all apps are hosted on github …

And being on the app’s page, you are just one click away from their repository (on any platform). And judging from the repo how stable, or how well maintained an app is, can be difficult.

I think, we are missing more people that can do a bit of developping, e.g. doing basic repairs themselves.
