Change overlay icon with alternative

I usually browse Windows folders on list mode and usually find what I’m looking for by file icon faster than by name. But since I’ve installed Nextcloud-client the overlay tick seems a bit invasive, covering too much of the underlying icon.

Is there a way to change it for something less invasive? Not hide it completely, I don’t want that. Ideally, change it with the same overlay tick of Google Drive, but in blue color to differentiate.

I’ve been looking into the Nextcloud files for the overlay icon (an svg or the likes), edit it and then rerun regsvr32.exe “C:\Program Files (x86)\Nextcloud\shellext\OCOverlays_x64.dll” to see if it works. But since I’m a complete noob working with Qt or dll’s I couldn’t figure it out.

Did you figure this out?
