When I attempt to type 11201971 you can that the results are not that.

Does it work if you just use the mouse to set the date? If so, I suggest doing that as a workaround.
As for the actual issue, what version of Nextcloud are you running?
I’m asking because I can’t reproduce this on 31.0.4. Also, the mouse controls look slightly different on my instance and the calendar view disappears when typing. So it might be a bug in the version you’re using that has already been fixed in newer versions…
It doesn’t show the year on the pop up, so using the mouse to go back 53 years will be… challenging.

I’m using the AIO instance, is it safe to do updates outside of a full package update?
There was a mastercontainer update, which I ran, still on the same NC version and calendar looks the same.

It looks like a bug in the interaction between the newest version of Safari on macOS and NextCloud. I have no idea where the problem lies though.
The little calendar icon is missing on the date field, so the calendar pop up opens every time you click it whether you’re clicking directly on the digits or in the empty area.
I just verified that I can properly set my birthdate both from Safari in iOS on an iPad, and from Firefox on macOS.
Github for that as well? Maybe Safari needs some special handling or something?
The date picker displayed here is the native one from the browser. It seems that the safari picker is quite limited, in contrast to chrome or firefox.
Also, for me with “dd.mm.yyyy” format, it works correctly on entering. Can you try to put in your year first and then select the other options? Other than that, it might be something that needs special handling on safari/locale.
Tried doing year first, as I type in each digit, it only enters it into the 4th place. Explaining as it may not be clear in the video.
When I went back to Firefox to fix it afterwards, I now have a new issue.
I guess I’m not allowed to be born on the 20th.
A quick google search shows that everyone hate’s Safari’s date picker’s guts.
The day reverting back is something else.
