Summary of the issue you are facing:

**I have two of my nine Contacts groups that I can not export. I am assuming it is because they are too large (or there is a corrupt entry) as they are much larger than the rest and the rest I can export. One group has 277 contacts and the other has 482 (the groups that can be exported all have less than 115 entries).
**

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

1. Click on the “…”
2. Click Export
3. Nothing happens

I tried on multiple browsers.

Do you have photos in your contacts? That increases the size of contacts a lot.

You could try to move some contacts of the large groups to new groups to reduce the number of contacts in the larger groups.

Does exporting the entire addressbook work?

Another option would be to export the addressbook with calcardbackup.

I can export the entire address book (3.1MB).

I realize now that this started when I moved my install to a new Nextcloud instance on Hostinger VPS from my own hosted on a Windows Linux Subsystem. I imported each calendar, note and contact by exporting from the old instance and importing to the new. So I was able to export from the old Nextcloud successfully 3 months ago. Now when I try to export (for backup purposes), these two contact groups fail. All else is exportable.

As you can export the entire addressbook without errors: is there a reason why you want to export the separate groups?

Because, when exporting the entire addressbook, the groups are exported as well. The groups are stored in each contact as CATEGORIES property.
