Summary of the issue you are facing:
predefined dropdown cells in spreadsheet cannot be used:
when hovering over such a cell, a small arrow indication a dropdown cell appears right of the cell border.
When clicking on this downward arrow I would expect the dropdown with the possible values to appear, instead the adjacent cell to the right (where the arrow icon overlaps) is selected and no value options are shown.
