Cannot upload 11.1 MB jpeg with nextcloud client

Nextcloud version (eg, 12.0.2): 12.0.4

The issue you are facing: Uploading a bigger jpeg (tested with 11.1MB big jpeg) fails using the nextcloud client, but works fine using the webinterface.

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Install Nextcloud client on windows and connect it to your nextcloud installation
  2. Place more than 11MB big jpeg into the a folder the nextcloud client syncs with the server (3.98MB file is working)
  3. As next step (to trigger the upload again) I just rename the file or simply copy and past the file in windows to have a new file to get synced

The clients breaks larger files into chunks and uploads them individually. There seems to be a problem when you try to put the file together on the server side.

Can you check the permissions in this folder?

Has this been working in previous versions?

The folder does not exist anymore. But the php-fpm is running as user www the the folder permission seems all to be fine:

I think it worked with a previous version, but I do not remember which version it was (I think it worked fine with version 10 or 11, it stopped working about a year ago).

Try with the newest client (2.3.3). I ran into a similar problem some time ago and updating the client solved the issue.

I tested it with version 2.3.2 (build 1), GIT-Revision 57bc79 (20.11.2017).
Same problem.
