Cannot Update Contacts App

Problem

I am running Nextcloud AIO 10.6.1 and tried updating the Contacts app from 7.0.1 to 7.0.2. The update fails with the following error:

An error occurred during the request. Unable to proceed.  
Could not update app.

Restarting the server did not help.

Environment

Nextcloud AIO version: 10.6.1
Contacts app version: 7.0.1 → 7.0.2 (update fails)
OS: Ubuntu Server 24.04

What I Tried

Updating via Web GUI → failed
Restarting the server → issue persists

Expected Behavior

The Contacts app should update successfully.

Has anyone encountered this issue or found a solution?

Same for me. Contacts 7.0.1 is still working but will not upgrade.

Same here running nextcloud:latest
The logfile contains the following error:

Issue with Enabling Contacts App in Nextcloud

I am encountering an issue with enabling the Contacts app in Nextcloud. After attempting to activate the app, I receive the following error:

“App with id contacts has an invalid signature.”
“Failed to open required ‘/var/www/nextcloud/apps/contacts/vendor/autoload.php’.”

I tried disabling the signature check in the config.php, but still can’t enable the app. Additionally, when trying to uninstall the app, it states that “it is not installed,” even though the app files are present.

I tried downloading and installing an older version (v7.0.1) of the Contacts app manually, and it works fine. However, I would like to understand and fix the issue with the newer version.

Any help would be appreciated!

There is no need to keep reporting this issue here—it is already known and has been reported.

It would be much more useful if someone posts here once a fix is released and confirms that it works.

I can confirm that there is available the update v7.0.3.
This version is OK.
