Can we disable users from installing Apps?

Hello Forum,

I’m using Nextcloud 11.0.2

It’s probably right in front of my eyes but I’m not seeing how to do this so I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I’m setting up Nextcloud to be used by employees in our office. I want to setup only the apps they need to use and disable/disallow our users from installing apps. Does Nextcloud give me the ability as the Administrator to lock down the App Store from users installing their own apps.

Thank you.

Normal users (e.g. non-admin) can’t add apps to NextCloud. Does your setup give the normal users the posibility to add apps?

Thank you @StephanW for this quick reply.

I haven’t seen a group that sounded like a user group. To be honest I’ve installed Nextcloud 11.0.2 in Nethserver and I’m using Samba Domain from Nethserver for my LDAP settings in Nextcloud. Working great so far and I can login with any domain account I’ve created.

So I’ve created two groups and I’ve confirmed that any users in those groups don’t have the Apps option available to them…Brilliant!

Thanks very much for this assistance.
