Calendar not loading iCal events

Hi, I’m loading my University’s iCal file into Nextcloud, but events don’t get loaded.
I’ve been using those iCal with Google Calendar for a long time and it has been working like a charm, and the same goes for the calendar app on Windows, therefore, there are no issues with the files, it must be something from Nextcloud.
I’ve been able to export all my events from Google Calendar to Nextcloud, whatsoever, so it’s working.
I’ve seen around there that the issue might be caused by Cron, but can confirm it’s working fine, at least it’s what de web UI says:

How do you load it? Using the web UI inside a browser?
Or using an app on mobile?
Or …?

I’m loading it through the web UI inside Waterfox G4.0.7. I simply click the “Add calendar” button on the left panel > “New subscription from link (read only)”, paste the webcal link, and click the right arrow button.

The calendar gets added on the left side, but no events appear.

Ok, understood.

Please check the nextcloud.log after you entered link URL and pressed the button.
You can check the log inside Nextcloud as admin because you have app logreader installed as I have seen.

Maybe that exception in cron is not allowing to load the calendar? :thinking:

Which log level are you using inside the config.php ?

I’m not sure, according to the logs I’d say it’s on warning. Should I reduce it to debug or something?
I assume this is the way https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/latest/admin_manual/configuration_server/logging_configuration.html

Okey, I believe I have found out the error, on the debug logs there is:

This resource only supports valid iCalendar 2.0 data. Parse error: Invalid Mimedir file. Line starting at 20 did not follow iCalendar/vCard conventions

Therefore I think I should speak to my university about this.

Gotcha. There were some custom elements that Nextcloud was detecting as invalid, and not importing those events, which were all of them. Removed them with VSCode manually, uploaded ical file and all of them were imported successfully.
However I think this should be addressed, if it’s correct to have custom elements in the iCal, why is it not being imported into Nextcloud correctly?
